SmartLaw’s Incubator program connects newer attorneys with opportunities to gain practical experience while building their practice. Participants receive referrals in select practice areas, helping them develop their skills while serving clients in need of legal assistance.
Requirements
- California licensed attorney unable to meet qualifications for other panels
- Letter from an attorney mentor
- Proof of legal malpractice insurance
- Virtual interview required for all limited applicants
- Modest Means Program participation

- Administrative law: Department of Motor Vehicles
- Consumer Law: Collections/Breach of contract, letter response
- Criminal Law: Misdemeanor traffic
- Family Law: Uncontested Dissolution
- Landlord/Tenant; Eviction Defense
- Small Claims: Appeals, coaching
